Medication Management for Mental Health
Is your traditional counseling
just not enough? The right medication can become the bridge that connects therapy to a brighter, better future.
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
Your first appointment is where we set the stage for everything ahead. In this session, we will dive into your medical history, what you're experiencing, what’s worked, and what hasn’t.
This is not just me asking you questions, but a collaborative conversation to figure out the best plan moving forward—together.
By the end, you’ll have:
- A clear understanding of what’s going on.
- A treatment plan that could include medication management, therapy, or both.
- Your
next steps
After your initial evaluation, we offer focused follow-up medication management appointments designed to ensure your treatment continues to support your well-being.
What to expect with Medication Management?
If you’re wondering what to expect in your Medication Management session, you’re not alone. Whether you’re adjusting to a new medication or maintaining a medication plan that feels right, these sessions provide a space to talk about what’s working, what’s not, and any changes in your life or symptoms that might impact your health.
These
30-minute follow-up visits are here to offer you ongoing support and help us monitor your progress to make sure your treatment plan continues to be the right fit. They provide a “check-in” to see how things are going and if any adjustments need to be made.
During each session, we’ll assess:
How Your Medication Is Working
Are you noticing improvements? Are your symptoms responding as expected?
Any Side Effects
We’ll talk you through any physical or emotional changes you may be experiencing to ensure your treatment remains safe and tolerable.
Changes in Your Symptoms, Mood, Sleep Habits, or Overall Functioning
Mental health is multi-faceted and so is your care. We’ll adjust as-needed to meet you where you are.
Life Updates that Might Impact Your Treatment
Major changes in your life–relationships, career, stress levels, or even routine can influence your body’s response to medication.
It’s important to know that your treatment plan is collaborative and
tailored to fit your specific needs and goals. Together, we will find the right balance to give you the best quality of life possible.
