What to expect with Psychotherapy?

Initial Evaluation


Have you tried counseling alone, and it just didn’t quite feel
right? Or realized that you need more than a prescription to process everything you are going through? 


Dr. Wilson’s psychotherapy sessions combined with medication management can give you the “peace” you’ve been missing. In your first session, we will take a look at what medications you are currently taking and how they’re working. This includes
assessing your response to the medication and any side effects you are experiencing. By evaluating your sleep, appetite, energy levels, mood, and overall functioning, we can determine if this current treatment plan is still the right treatment plan for you. If you are not yet taking mental health medication, we will discuss the options that make the most sense for you and your symptoms.

Ongoing Support


But that’s not all. 


These sessions are
not only here to deliver medication treatment but also give you a space for deeper therapeutic support. You’ll have time to process emotions, talk through challenges you're facing, and reflect on what’s going on in your life. Whether you are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or everyday stressors, these hybrid sessions provide a safe space and room to reflect on your feelings.
